The Punjab government continues to expand its flagship Honhaar Scholarship Program, directly benefiting students across Lahore Division. In the second phase of the Honhaar scheme, eligible undergraduates from second- to fifth-year (or third- to eighth-semester) are awarded PKR 20,000 each, with over 3,121 students in Lahore Division alone slated to receive scholarships totaling more than PKR 120 million. Additionally, this phase includes the distribution of laptops—14,000 devices earmarked for Lahore’s 13 public universities, six medical colleges, and 27 higher education institutions—under the integrated CM Laptop Scheme 2025, demonstrating a concerted investment of PKR 7 billion in the current fiscal year.
